Ballarat Centre Against Sexual Assault is a funded organisation providing specialist sexual assault support.

We provide a variety of services including:
  • Trauma informed counselling

  • Advocacy

  • Provision of a Harmful Sexual Behaviour Treatment Program

  • Crisis Care Support after a recent sexual assault

  • Community Education

  • Outreach Support to Ararat, Daylesford, Bacchus Marsh & some local schools

How can I access services?

Am I eligible?

Ballarat CASA is a free and inclusive service which supports non-offending people of all ages, abilities, cultures, sexualities, genders and spiritual beliefs.

Adults do not have to report their experience to police to have access to counselling and advocacy.

There is no time limit expiry. If you have experienced sexual assault many years ago, you are welcome to refer for supports.

We provide a specialised trauma-informed service that supports young people under 18yo who exhibit harmful sexual behaviours.

Who can refer?

Self-Referrals: We accept self-referrals over the phone (03) 5320 3933 or email to request a call back CASAIntakeInbox@bhs.org.au or walk-in to our office.

Professional Referrals: Call or email us to request the correct referral form.

Family or Friend Referrals: We accept referrals from a third party if they have consent from the person they are referring. For more information, please phone (03) 5320 3933.

 

Where do I go?

We offer services in person, through internet-based telehealth, or over the phone.

We provide face-to-face services to Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh, Daylesford and Ararat and also provide outreach to some schools in these areas.

Interpreters

Ballarat CASA provide access to interpreters for people who communicate in languages other than English. Please notify us when you make contact of your preferred language and we can organise an interpreter.

Service Accessibility

We would like your experience with Ballarat CASA to be as safe as possible. Your accessibility needs will be assessed at intake, however, you are the expert and we would gladly appreciate any guidance in removing barriers to access our service. This includes, physical, spiritual, language and cultural barriers.
